This is a simple and effective way to manage WHEN I deal with email! Here’s an introductory 30-second video:
Special email messages: I create digital birthday cards for clients a week or two in advance. With Boomerang, I can schedule the email card to send on the morning of their birthday!
Snooze for Later: Some emails aren’t critical to respond to right now, but you do want to revisit it later. Boomerang is perfect for this! If someone reaches out about collaborating on a project, I can respond “hey this sounds fun! I’ll get back to you in 2 weeks after this other deadline.” Then I ask Boomerang to snooze the email for that date and time.
With the personal plan, you can add notes to remind yourself of particulars.
Other emails don’t require a response at all but may need your attention later. What if you get notified about a software update - snooze it for a day when you can implement the update. Did your favorite Newsletter have an announcement you’d like to blog about? Snooze it for your dedicated blogging time!
Pause your Inbox: There are several instances where I need to be able to search and work from my emails to complete client-related tasks, but I don’t want the distraction of other emails coming in.
Are you the type of person that gets completely derailed when a new message comes in? Welcome to your new favorite feature!
Know how your email may be received: In Boomerang it’s called Respondable, and I’m pretty sure it was invented by magic digital gnomes whose only goal in life is to make sure the time you’re spending on that important email was worth it because people will be more likely to respond.
Scheduled follow-ups: Have you emailed questions and need to know by Friday of next week? Ask boomerang to put your email back at the top of your Inbox on Wednesday morning, but only if no one has responded if that’s what you prefer.
