I recently published my first animated video to my website and social media channels - it was a blast! I I sent a preview of the video to a group of friends and colleagues for their feedback and everyone asked me - “how did you do this?”
I used Animaker - a somewhat easy-to-use online animation video making software solution that’s free to use. The free version of the plan gives you access to a great amount of characters, background music, sound effects, and 5 exports per month. Based on my research (at the time of this post) that’s the best “free” deal around!
I went with the very affordable Personal Plan in order to remove the Animaker branding from the video. Otherwise, every element you see in the “Daisy is Smart” video is available on the free version.
At first I was a little intimidated by the platform, but I sat down and watched an entire runthrough of the tutorial videos to get familiar with elements. Then I started a blank video and performed the actions described in each tutorial video to further familiarize myself. I spent a couple of days learning, and on the 3rd and 4th day I was able to come up with my first video. It’s fun, informative, and best yet, describes how I can help one specific type of client - small business owners / entrepreneurs.
I would give this a positive rating based on the following factors:
- very affordable and the free plan gives you lots of great options
- informative, easy-to-follow tutorial videos
- great technical support - I sent 2 emails with questions and both were answered the next business day
What kind of video would you like to see? I’ve got plans on drafting videos for:
- What is a Virtual Assistant?
- Guide to Services
- Help for Nonprofits
Special Thank you
